The Hotel of Las Rosas: The Treasure Factory That Disappeared in Chamberí

Madrid, early 20th century, an epicenter of artistic creation where masterpieces such as the crown of the Virgin of Covadonga and the tomb of Saint John of the Cross in Segovia were crafted.

The Hotel of Las Rosas complex featured workshops in various disciplines and was a benchmark in the field of sacred art. Its legacy lives on in the numerous works preserved in churches and museums in this 21st-century Madrid, or the art reflected in the monumental tomb of San Juan de la Cruz, which can be seen in the Convent of the Discalced Carmelites of San Juan de la Cruz in Segovia, near Madrid.
