The Nobu Hotel Madrid project, linked to Hollywood star Robert De Niro, chef Nobu Matsuhisa, and film producer Meir Teper, which we discussed on February 21, 2025, has overcome delays due to urban planning and licensing issues since 2021. It will be located at number 26 Alcalá Street, between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol, in a building owned by the REIT Hotei (formerly Millenium Hospitality).
Its opening is now scheduled for September 1, 2026. It will feature a three-level restaurant, a state-of-the-art spa, a gym, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views on the central Alcalá Street in the Spanish capital. The hotel is part of the Nobu Hotels brand, representing another of its commitments to merging gastronomy, luxury, and service.
This brand already boasts nearly forty hotels across the Americas, Asia, and Europe, including those in Spanish destinations such as Ibiza, Marbella, Barcelona, and San Sebastián. Its opening coincides with the rise of this type of luxury hotel in Spain.
